NURTURING THE WHOLE CHILD SAIL programs have rigorous academics as their foundation, but also offer “summer camp” activities that promote physical and emotional health while building character, all in a safe, supporting environment. Healthful meals close the summer nutrition gap that many of our children face. The following weekly schedule provides an illustration of the activities at a typical SAIL program. |

Children from under-served communities face many challenges over the summer; many do not eat well, do not exercise, and lack a safe environment that is free from bad influences.
